PARKING LOT UPDATE

EARLIER DISMISSAL FOR 6TH AND 7TH GRADERS ONLY!!

If you have a 6th or 7th grader, we will be dismissing them five minutes early – at 5:40.  This is to help alleviate parking lot congestion.  We HIGHLY suggest that if you are picking up ONLY a 6th or 7th grader, that you park in the lower parking lot to the left side of the school (facing the school) down by the ball fields.  We will let the children whose parent’s park there leave through the A wing doors closest to that lot.

Younger children will be dismissed at the usual time of 5:45.  If you have a younger child or carpool with younger children in addition to the 6th or 7th grader, you and the 6th/7th grader will still have to wait for the younger children.  You may want to choose to do one of these things:

*park in the lower left parking lot to meet 6th/7th grader, and then younger children can exit through the A wing door to that lot when they are dismissed.

*Have your 6th or 7th grader wait in the main lobby for the younger children or for you.

*Park in the main parking lot to meet 6th/7th grader and/or younger children.

Remember, before dismissal, parents are to wait in the lobby, do not go to the classroom until given the OK.  1st and 2nd grade parents need to go to the classroom for their child and we will let you pass a few minutes before dismissal to be at your child’s door.  Parents of older children can wait in the lobby, parking lot, or go to the classroom at dismissal after announcement.

This is all for safety of the children.  Your patience and understanding is appreciated as we work out new systems that flow smoothly.

Parking at the school is limited to designated areas.  Drivers are reminded to avoid parking in fire lanes and painted walkways. Please be aware, parking is NOT permitted on Centerton Road (the residential road next to our side parking lot). To prevent congestion before and after Religious Education,  picking up/releasing students in bus zones is strictly prohibited.
